What a regular week looks like for a Glyde boilermaker:
You’ll be working on a variety of projects, making metal components for a wide range of industries including producing precision assemblies for trucks and trailers, the Formula One or Moto Grand Prix here in Melbourne and Phillip Island or the advanced manufacturing industry.
You’ll experience working closely with experienced co-workers, but also working independently to showcase your ability and attention to detail as we deliver projects for our clients.

This is what our Boilermaker Jobs look like:
This is a full-time on-site role for a Boilermaker Welder. You will be responsible for:
- MIG welding
- TIG welding
- Oxy-acetylene cutting
- Reading drawings
- Metal fabrication
The Boilermaker will work with a team of engineers, fabricators, and machinists to produce high-quality steel fabricated parts and components.
These are the Boilermaker Qualifications you would need:
- Qualified in welding and metal fabrication
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience and skill with mild and high tensile carbon steel
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in a contract manufacturing environment
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade is preferred
